We are now looking for a Specialist - Wireless Software to join our team in the Tampere office!

Purpose of the position
Specialist - Wireless Software has been recognized as an expert in particular field(s), have ownership and main technical responsibility of a specific technology area, subsystem or module in a project.
You will provide technical expertise needed in customer project sales process and consultation services for Customers.
Key tasks and responsibilities
As a Specialist you must have profound knowledge and experience on at least one specific technical area such as Wi-Fi (esp. Wi-Fi 6E and 802.11be updates) and/or Bluetooth (Classic, BLE or both). You actively share your knowledge, provide support and may give technical training for the project team. You are supporting Sales, Customer and Project Manager to ensure that the necessary requirements and restrictions are understood and covered when preparing the technical section of the quotation. You are helping the Project Manager in creating the project plan by providing
expertise in specific technical area(s) for e.g., effort estimation, project risks, technology selections and quality requirements.
What you need to succeed
Characterized by technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills and high-quality deliverables, the Specialist is able to work systematically, assertively and independently. You are familiar with the relevant standards and the latest proceedings of the industry. For a Specialist, a curious mind and creative thinking are highly appreciated, as well as being proactive to continuously learn new things. At practical level, you have experience in, for example, conducting exploratory and/or field testing, capturing data traffic and using the conventional analysis tools for this trade - so that you can skilfully debug, troubleshoot, and resolve e.g., connectivity issues in wireless products. Ideally, you also have knowledge in network protocols, and have expertise in network configurations and setting up wireless testing environments, too, and the know-how to use and manage e.g., Wi-Fi systems. Skills in Python scripting will also prove useful. You have good teamwork skills, and you’re capable of sharing your knowledge and experience with others. You are also comfortable with working in the customer interface. Good command of written and spoken Finnish and English is required.
Education and work experience
The post requires B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent degree, at least 4 years of relevant work experience and good understanding/experience of the project business. It is mandatory to have expertise from protocol specification to implementation level.
