Sasken Finland Oy serves domestic and global customers in the design and development of hardware and software products and provides services for industries such as Telecommunication, Industrials and Defense, Medical, and Satcom. Sasken Finland has a strong track record of successfully delivering R&D product programs with high-end expertise in wireless technologies.

We are now looking for an Embedded Engineer Software to join our team in the Tampere office!

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting in design, coding, testing, bug fixing, documentation, and technical support in the assigned area.
• Contributing to on-time delivery while adhering to quality and productivity goals.
• Following guidelines and checklists for deliverable reviews, sending status reports to the team lead, and adhering to relevant organizational processes.
• Collaborating with customers and providing support for customer queries. Expected to enhance technical capabilities by attending trainings, self-study, and periodic technical assessments. Participation in technical initiatives related to the project and organization is expected.

What you need to succeed:

• Some work experience that demonstrates the ability to apply knowledge effectively and deliver results.
• Ability to analyze and interpret problems, adapt existing methods, and contribute to solutions.
• Regular interaction with interfacing groups/customers for technical issue clarification and resolution.
• Active participation in project-related activities to identify important issues and risks.
• An eagerness to seek guidance and advice to maintain a high quality of deliverables.
• A desire to enhance existing skills and work towards acquiring more complex skills in your field of specialization.

Here’s examples of the different skills we’re especially interested in (not mandatory):

• Experience in Linux kernel/driver/user space development
• Experience in U-Boot, ARM, Yocto
• Experience in bare-metal firmware development and/or RTOS environments
• Experience in Android drivers and/or middleware development

Following skills are required:

Practical SW development skills, such as good command of C/C++ language and common version control systems (such as GIT) are required. In our international work environment, good team working skills and fluent written and spoken English are also necessary. Python, Qt and Java programming experience is considered a big plus.

Education and Experience Required:

Engineering graduate, B.Sc., or similar in computing sciences.

Experience: 0-2 years.
